DRV8825 stepper driver(4 PCB layer)
Stepper driver current calculation formula: i=vref x 2.
There are three pins in potentiometer. Use millimeters’ to test these pin, the voltage is Vref. We can also adjust the current on the potentiometer. Twist clockwise is to increase the current, anti-clockwise is to decrease the current.
Due to wiki design, normal DRV8825 stepper driver Vref is about 1.6v, so the current is 3.2A. If not adjust it, it will be very hot and may easily burn the board.
Our DRV8825 is specially made. Its Vref is about 0.65v, current is 1.3A and maximum current is about 2.5A which is safe for use. Our DRV8825 is made of 4 PCB layer, 2Oz copper thickness, good heat dissipation property.
When install, please do double check the direction in case it burns.
